Holiday Catalog Countdown - Day 2 Christmas

I LOVE Christmas.  I love the decorations, the scents, the cards, the get togethers...it truly is my favorite time of year.  And Stampin' Up! has made it a wonderful time to be stamper as well with such fantastic Christmas products in the Holiday Catalog.  I have one card to share with you today that uses the MUST HAVE bundle in my humble opinion; Peaceful Pines.  Here is a card I whipped up super quickly:

This was so easy.  I had the Merry Moments DSP from the annual catalog that I used to determine my color scheme.  And I knew I wanted to use all three sizes of the trees.  After I stamped the green trees, I used blender pens to add some color to them.  I love how the sentiment is built right into the Cherry Cobbler tree.  When I added the gold glitter ribbon, I realized I need to add some other gold in the trees.  To do this I used the new fine tip glue pen (another MUST HAVE) and added dots to each tree and then sprinkled some gold glitter on.  So easy.  Here is a complete supply list:

Tomorrow is the day you can start ordering these fantastic holiday goodies!  And we will have more sneak peeks at the new products as well.  Be sure to check out the other Christmas products over at SSI!

August Mystery Challenge

Welcome to the first installment of a new challenge at SSI, a Mystery Challenge.  Our fabulous designer Donna will come up with a list of five elements for you to include in your project and you need to use three of them.  This is what she came up with for August:

I am going to love these challenges!  I love the idea of putting the same elements together and seeing what everyone comes up with.  Initially I wanted to try for all five, but as my idea started to take shape, I ended up just using three elements; the colors (Night of Navy, Hello Honey, and Tip Top Taupe), the shape (star) and the embellishment (sequins).  Here is my card:

I knew I wanted to use the star from You're So Sweet and I decided to try for a shaker card to implement the sequins which are from the Metallic Sequins and the Gold Sequin Trim.  The Night of Navy patterned background paper is actually some of the Color Me Irresistible DSP sponged with Night of Navy.  Below is a complete supply list. We can't wait to see what you come up with!  Get creating and upload your project.  Need more inspiration?  Go back to SSI and check out the other designers' creations!

Holiday Catalog Countdown - Day 3 Thanksgiving

Just three days left until this catalog goes live!  Today at SSI we are sharing some Thanksgiving projects.  I have a little card I made using one of my the many must have bundles that can be used through the Holiday Season.  It would be perfect to send to someone you won't get to see on Thanksgiving or as a thank you to someone hosting the big meal.  Here it is:

This bundle has stamps that can be used for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  I did some water coloring on the Shimmery White paper.  I also heat embossed my sentiment in gold and added some gold thread for some extra shine.  You can find a complete supply list below and remember to look at the other fabulous Thanksgiving projects over at SSI!

Holiday Catalog Countdown - Day 4 Halloween

I just can't wait for everyone to be able to order from this catalog.  It has so many fabulous products.  I always see something I love for Halloween every year, and this is no different.  I had made a cute Stair Step Card using the Sweet Hauntings set last week.  But I thought I would share a few more spooky creations!

First up is another creation using the Sweet Hauntings set.  I made a treat holder with the Fry Box die.  This was super easy and came together really quickly, the best kind of projects.

It might be hard to tell but in the bag is some chocolate body parts!  I can't believe I was buying Halloween candy already but I knew they would be the perfect treat to put in this little favor!  Here is a supply list:

Next up is a quick card I made using several different products.

This came together pretty quickly as well.  I knew I wanted to use the pumpkin and at first I was planning to use some more of that fabulous DSP for the background but I really have fallen in love with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I sponged on Smoky Slate onto the trees.  It might be hard to tell in the picture but I used the new Black Glimmer paper for the "spooky."  Here is a complete supply list:

Thanks so much for checking out my Halloween projects!  Tomorrow we will be focusing on Thanksgiving.  How awesome were all the other projects over at SSI?

2015 Holiday Catalog Countdown - Day 5 Fall

In just five days you can order from the amazing and fabulous new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  I pre-ordered a lot of stuff, but honestly, I want it all.  I love to create for the fall and winter seasons.  Today we are focusing on Fall themed projects over at SSI.  And I have an Autumn wine tag to share with you using quite a few of the new products.  Check it out:

This was super quick to make.  I love all the rich, vibrant fall colors and the little touch of sparkle and shine.  That gold glitter ribbon is so pretty and comes packaged with white glitter ribbon.   You can do something very cool to it that I will show in a few days.  The stamp set comes in a bundle and I will be using the coordinating embossing folder in a few days as well so stay tuned!  Here is a complete supply list.  Don't forget to check out all the fall projects for a sneak peek at the fantastic new products over at SSI.

Ornate Tag Topper Punch

I love the weekly deals that Stampin' Up! has.  They always include some product that has been on my must have list.  The Ornate Tag Topper Punch was definitely one of those products.  I knew it would be cute to make tags for the upcoming holiday season but I also thought I could use it for tags on cards as well.  Here is a card I made using the punch on both the top and bottom and then using twine to tie the tag on.  I love how this turned out!

Don't you just love those rich colors of the Bohemian DSP?  This card was so easy to make.  Stampin' Up! always makes it easy with great coordinating products.  Here is a complete supply list:

Mystery Supply Challenge for August

One of my favorite things about Convention this year was meeting most of my SSI stampin' sisters in person and spending time with them.  We spend a lot of time online together.  Well the idea came about that it would be fun for us to send each other supplies to make a card.  And I was lucky to get my supplies from Donna!  Here is what she sent me:

Well I always had a hunch she was crazy, but now we can see she is just plain nuts!  Ha ha ha!  I think she won this stamp set at Convention!  I was thrilled to get a chance to play with it.  Here is what I came up with:

I just had to go with the crazy/nuts theme.  It was too perfect.  I was going to make a fall/grateful card but I just really liked this idea and went with it.  I love this embossing folder, it will be my go to one for fall for sure!  After embossing, I sponged it with some Soft Suede ink.  Thanks Donna for some fun supplies!  Here is a supply list.

I can't wait to see what Darcy made with what I sent her.  Check back with all the other SSI gals to see what they made.

Back to School Already?!

Can you believe it is already that time again?  We already got our kids book bags and done some of the back to school shopping.  My daughter will be going into second grade and my son will be starting preschool, going just one day a week.  I am not sure what I will do with myself!  I did want to do some paper crafting to prepare for this busy time of the year.  I decided to make a quick, little hello gift for my daughter's teacher.  Check it out:

I thought it might be nice to put a little something sweet in here for that first day of school.  Thinking back to my first days when I was a teacher, it was such a busy time of the year and a little treat would have been awesome.  Just a quick run through the big shot, stamp, punch and tie and this little treat holder is ready for giving!

I also decided to make a few notes to sneak in my daughter's lunch box.  I used the super cute stamp set You're Sublime and tried my hand at water coloring.

Here are some close ups:

Thanks for looking!  Do you do any special projects to get ready for the first few days of school?  Be sure to check out the other projects over at SSI!

Butterfly Madness

I love butterflies!  And it is a good thing since it seems to be a favorite subject of Stampin' Up!  At convention I received tons of swaps and I can say that 25% of them were butterfly related cards.  I actually just had a butterfly card class, CASEing some of those fabulous cards.  But today I am sharing with you something else I made still using the favorite little winged one.  Here is my card:

I grabbed a stamp set that hadn't seen ink in awhile and I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  I forget how easy it use that tool!  I just love this bright color scheme too.  Below is a complete supply list.  Don't forget to check out all the other butterfly cards over at SSI!

A World of Thanks

Background stamps are so fun.  You can create your own DSP with them or let them take center stage.  I did a little bot of both here with the A World of Thanks stamp set.  Here is the stamp:
And here is my card.  I decided on using a fun bright color palette.

I love Tangelo Twist and thought it made the perfect background color.  I embossed the Fun Flowers with the Decorative Dot embossing folder for some extra texture. And I added some Dazzling Details to the center of the flower.  Here is a complete supply list:

Fancy Fold - Side Stair Step Card

There are some great Halloween stamps in the new Holiday Catalog.  I knew I had to have atleast one and I had a specific idea what to do with it!  I wanted to try my hand at a Side Stair Step Card and I used this tutorial.  Here is what I came up with:

This fold part of this card was actually pretty easy to do.  What took time was figuring out how to place everything and adding the finishing touches.  I really like how this turned out.  I like the idea of a little potion shelf.  I added some Crystal Effects to the bottles to make them look like glass.  Below you will find a complete supply list.  Don't forget to check out all the other fancy folds over at SSI today!

August Layout Sketch

We have a great Project Life inspired layout for you for this month's layout sketch.  Check it out:

I knew exactly what pictures I wanted to use for this layout.  But I had to do some flipping and flopping.  Here is my layout:

I struggled with taking a good picture.  The pocket pages make a pretty good glare and unfortunately, this was the best I could do.  I took my daughter for a mommy and me date to have tea with Cinderella.  It was such a cute little afternoon.  Jessica was dressed in a cute Cinderella outfit.  Here are some close ups:

Here is a little banner I made using banner triple punch and some fun accessories.

This stamp is a promotional stamp for demonstrators to use for the Paper Pumpkin program.  I knew it would be perfect for this page.  I embossed the sentiment in silver and added some sliver glitter for some extra magic.

I love this picture!  When we were leaving, inspiration struck and I told Jessica to go back up the steps and she knew exactly what I wanted her to do.  I love that we are two peas in a pod!

We have a bonus sketch as well, a traditional layout for you if you like.  Check it out:

I decided to make a card based on the layout.

I absolutely love this new bundle from the new Holiday Catalog.  Creating your very own snow globes is just so much fun.  I thought this would be a fun birthday card for a little girl.  I water-colored the ballerina with an aqua painter.  I stamped some vellum in Blushing Bride and then embossed it with some iridescent ice.  The base of the snow globe is also embossed in silver.  See that gorgeous blushing bride glitter ribbon?  It is just the white glitter ribbon from the Holiday Catalog.  I flipped it over an colored it with a Blushing Bride Stmapin' Write Marker.  So pretty and so easy!

Thanks so much for checking out my projects.  Did you get a chance to see the other pages over at SSI?  How about you upload your page and take part in our challenge?

Bundles are BEST!

I love that Stampin' Up! has fabulous coordinating products that make creating awesome projects so easy to do.  And to get them at a discount is even better, all bundles are offered 15% off both products.  They bundles stamps with framelits or punches and there are even some fabulous Project Life bundles where you get the card pack, accessory pack and matching stamp set.  So today at SSI we are hopping around, checking out our favorite bundles in the Annual Catalog. As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 5 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Bree at Craft-Somnia Momma. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I thought I would highlight one of the most inexpensive bundles today; the Petite Petals stamp and punch is just $21.25 for the clear mount stamp set and $24.50 for the wood mount stamp set.  I have two projects to share for you today.  First let's check out the bundle.

These little flowers are super cute and can be used in so many ways.  My first creation is a quick card I made using the stamp and punch in conjunction with the In Color Blossom Accents.  What a perfect match!   This zebra themed card will most likely go to my daughter and that little punch of Watermelon Wonder is just the right amount of color.

Up next I decided to use six flowers to create a rainbow of sorts.  Stamping and punching these flowers was so easy.  The fun patterns come from a photopolymer set which means it was also easy to stamp those as well.

Sparkle and Shine

I just love to create projects that are extra special.  And what could be more special than sparkle and shine?  From glimmer paper, to sequins, to foil sheets; Stampin' Up! has you covered for all things glitzy and glamorous!  Here is a special project I made for my upline since she is awesome and let me be her shadow at Convention!

Love this paper, right?  The Typeset DSP is so fun and it was exactly what I had in mind.  Here is a close up of the tote bag which was filled with chocolate!

And here is a close up of the card:

This was very simple, because you don't need too much when you have gold foil and vellum.  But of course I did have to make it a little complicated by making it a flip card.  I just love flip card though!  They are so easy!  And how awesome does that Gold Foil look embossed with the Boho Chic embossing folder?  Check out more sparkle and shine projects from the fabulous gals over at SSI!

Feminine Friday - Groovy Love

Happy Friday!  I have a feminine card for you today.  It has pink, hearts and sparkle on it.  You can't get much more feminine than that.  I wanted to bring out a stamp set that hasn't seen ink in awhile and I grabbed Groovy Love and made this:

The design for this card was in my head and it didn't take long to create it at all.  One of the many reasons I love Stampin' Up products, they all work so well together!  Here is a complete supply list:

CASE-ing the Annual Catalog

Stampin' Up! puts out some great catalogs.  They are just showing their products, they are showing great samples on how to use the fabulous products.  Today at SSI we are CASEing (Copy And Share Everything) samples from the Annual Catalog. I drew my inspiration from a card on page 46.  Here is a picture of it:

Instead of Pictogram Punches I decided to use a hostess set that I got awhile ago but still hadn't seen some ink.  Here is my card:

I love how by changing the stamp set and color scheme, I was able to create a completely different card.  I stamped the flower from the stamp set in a lighter shade of pink under the sentiment.  I also added some Dazzling Details to the butterfly that I fussy cut.   Be sure to check out the other CASE'd creations over at SSI.  Here is a supply list:

August Technique Tuesday - Layered Heat Embossing

Today we have a cool new technique for you at SSI.  It uses one of my favorite techniques, heat embossing but with a twist!  You do it multiple times.  So fun, right?  Here is my card I created:

I used the Wondrous Wreath stamp set with Gold, Silver and Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  Here is a close up of the embossed section.

This was really a quick card to make.  I didn't think I needed to add to much because the embossed wreath was so pretty!  And it is never too early to start making Christmas Cards!  Thanks for looking.  Did you get a chance to check out the other creations using this technique over at SSI?

August Color Challenge

Can you believe it's August already?  The summer is surely flying by!  I have had a lot of wonderful opportunities; from concerts, to convention along with spending my days with the cutest little kids in the world.  Anyways, we have a great color challenge for you, bright and fun for a summer project!  Check it out:

The moment I saw these colors, I knew exactly what stamp I wanted to use and how I wanted my card to look.  I even made a single layer card, if you can believe that?  Here it is:

So easy!  This took 5 minutes to plan, stamp and glue.  I am loving the thick baker's twine and I love using it like this, adding some extra pop of color.  Here is a supply list:

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

The two shades of Elegant Eggplant and Cucumber Crush come from stamping twice before reinking.  So easy to add a little extra color and make those stamp pads last!  Also the banner shape is cut using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  There are so many goodies in that set!

Are you inspired yet?  If not be sure to check out the other creations from the wonderful designers over at SSI.  And then create your own project and upload it!
