An Encouraging Mermaid

Today I have a card from you that is inspired from two challenges; a sketch at the Paper Players and a color challenge over at Color Throwdown.

Love the sketch, its simple and oh my goodness, those colors are so pretty!  Here is my card:

I did an awful lot here and I had so much fun doing it.  The mermaid is from the stamp set Magical Mermaid and she is stamped on vellum with Stazon and colored with Stampin' Write Markers.  I used Mint Macaron, Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo.  Then for the tri-colored background I used the Bokeh Dots stamp set and got out my Stampuratus.  I used the hinge method where you ink up your stamp, stamp, clean, re-ink then move the plate down.  Its SO easy!  I used Mint Macaron, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather.  Its a mermaid so I had to used some silver glimmer paper underneath,  The card base is Balmy Blue with a layer embossed with the High Seas embossing folder.  I dug up the sentiment from a retired stamp set, because it was so perfect.  I finished it off with some sequins and a coral vellum piece from the most recent Paper Pumpkin.  Here is the inside:

I just used the mermaid silhouette and the sentiment from Magical Mermaid to finish off my encouraging card.

Thanks for visiting!

A Floral Thank You

I am back with another card to share with you.  Check it out:

This uses some old and new products from Stampin' Up!  The most obvious is that gorgeous floral paper from the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.  I matted that on some Blackberry Bliss and used the Delicate Lace Dies on some Champagne Foil for that final layer.  The card base is Petal Pink.  I used the some of the Magnolia Memory Dies to create the flower and leaves and finished it off with some of the Woven Threads sequins.

The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set which is an oldie but goodie!  I used some Blackberry Bliss ink for that one.  Blackberry Bliss is definitely my favorite of the Regal Colors.  Here what I did with the inside of the card:

I just stamped another sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set along with some flowers in the corners.

This card was inspired by the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Just Add Ink to New Wonders

Well hello there world!  I am back again, hoping to find more time to create and share my creations with the world. I thought I would start with a few online challenges.

Here is today's creation:

I found a great sketch over at Just Add Ink.  Here it is:

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base and mounted some of the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper on some Balmy Blue.  I made that paper even prettier by coating it with Frost White Shimmer Paint applied with a sponge dauber.

I used the adorable hostess set, New Wonders that I borrowed from a friend and colored her in with various Stampin' Blends (Light Call Me Clover, Light, Balmy Blue, Dark Blackberry Bliss, Light Petal Pink) and covered her in Wink of Stella for her sparkly look.  Of course I cut her out with the Stitched Shapes Dies, my absolute favorite dies!  I added some iridescent sequins for some more sparkle.  Here is a close up:

Here is a look inside:

There is another image from the New Wonders stamp set all colored in with Stampin' Blends.  I also used a sliver of the same DSP on the side.   Here is a closer look at my little fairy:

Thanks so much for checking out my project today!  I hope to be back soon with more creations!
