You Are My Sunshine!

Don't you love it when you can get a great sketch to work with your favorite dies and a fun quick and easy card is made.  That is what happened to me today!  I created for two challenges today; Can You Case It and Freshly Made Sketches:

This card also work with the theme today over at SSI, SUNSHINE!

Here is an example of looking beyond the Suite.  This fabulous paper can be used with something besides that awesome Birthday Fiesta stamp.  I love the bright colors so I used just one fun pattern and let it dictate the other color choices.  And my favorite die is the Swirly Scribbles Dies!  I love the swirly as the sun and the grass.  It needed a little something so I cut a few flowers with the Blossom Bunch punch in Melon Mambo.  The sentiment comes from the stamp set Over the Rainbow, one of my favorites that was new last year.  So glad it carried over!

Thanks for looking!  Head over to SSI for more doses of Sunshine!

Fairy Celebration

We are talking about our favorites over at SSI and I have lots of them.  But I am picking my daughter's favorite stamp set today and that is Fairy Celebration:

So cute right?  I have big plans for this stamp set.  Here is the first card I created with it:

I used the Blooms and Bliss DSP for the background and for my color palette.  Mint Macaron is like my absolute favorite color and it pairs so nicely with Blushing Bride!  I added some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for some extra sparkle.  Instead of the cherries, I added some flowers on the tree branch.  I had to watercolor that little fairy on some Shimmery White DSP, here is a closer look:

I love using the aqua painter here to give it a true watercolor look.  I used Sahara Sand for her skin, Soft Suede for her hair and the tree branch, Mint Macaron for the leaves on the branch and her skirt and Island Indigo for her shirt and Blushing Bride for the inside of her wings.  I used an Island Indigo Stampin' Write Marker for the edge of the wings and coated them with the clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.  Here is a peek at the inside:

I like the idea of the the little fairy subtly stamped on the bottom.  Of course she has some glitter on her wings as well!

Thanks so much for looking.  Head over to SSI to see the other designer's favorite news stamps.

Under the Sea Greetings

I bought the Serene Scenery and Seaside Shore stamp set recently and have had so much fun playing with them.  The photo realistic paper in the stack is so pretty and I love how there are fun patterns on the back of each sheet.  I saw this sketch over at the Paper Craft Crew and I thought I could use these supplies perfectly.

Here is my card:

So fun right!  I did a bit of fussy cutting with this card, so it definitely isn't one I would mass produce, but it makes a perfect special card for someone special!  Doesn't it make you want to go to the beach?  Here is a close up of the fish, who is coated with the clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen:

Here is a peek inside:

Love that greeting and of course I needed to stamp some more on the bottom.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope that your day goes swimmingly too.

Hello Flamingo Friend

Pop of Paradise was definitely one of my must haves in the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up Catalog.  I love that flamingo and the cute pineapple.  And the coordinating Pop of Pink DSP and Washi Tape are pretty awesome too.  I put them together along with some other tools using this sketch from The Paper Players:

Here is my card:

I just love color combo here with the Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White and gold accents.  I used the new layering squares framelits along with the Hello You Thinlits for the greetings in Gold Foil.  Here is a close up of that fancy feathered friend:

I decided he needed something else there so I heat embossed a leaf with gold embossing powder.  Here is a look inside:

Some more washi tape and gold embossed pineapple to tie it all together.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

June Mystery Challenge

Can you believe it's already Monday?  The best thing about Mondays is our weekly challenge.  Have a look:

I decided to use three of these elements; the burst, the colors (Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler and Nightof Navy) and some glitter.  Here is my card:

I just got this stamp set, Where Ever You Go, last week and I love it.  I used the Lots of Labels framelits to cut out the sentiment in Whisper White and I traced it and fussy cut it with some Gold Foil.  Here are some other close ups:

I used Gold Embossing powder to make a shiny sun in the corner.

The water was made with the brush stroke from the Work of Art stamp set.  I stamped off with the Night of Navy to get several shaded of blue for the water and added some Clear Wink of Stella Glitter.  To position the bridge perfectly, I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  Here is a look at the inside:

I used every stamp in the set...I love it when I do that!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more inkspiration with this challenge head over to SSI and then upload your creation today!

A Beachy Card

I just got a box of new goodies so of course I could not wait to create with them.  I found a perfect sketch to use to from Freshly Made Sketches.  Check it out:

I used products from the By the Shore Suite.  Here is my card:

The color palette here is perfect for the beach.  I chose to pieces of By the Shore DSP to highlight as well as some of the stamps from Seaside Shore to go along with it.  I added some of the Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon for some great texture.  After the front of the card was done I found myself still wanting to stamp, so I made the inside:

So cute, right?  I love this set and can't wait to make more with it!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I haven't been doing too many challenges recently but I am hoping to change that.

Flower Friday

We are talking about our favorites today at SSI and my favorite is the Floral Affection Textured Impressions.  Check out my card:

This was really easy to do.  I just embossed some Whisper White and then went over the raised parts with the brush tip of the Stampin' Write markers.  This turned out better than I hoped and was so easy.  I love the bright fun colors of the DSP.  Thanks for checking out my card today.  Head back over to SSI for more Friday Favorites!

Fairy Celebration Shaker Card

So my new favorite stamp set is Fairy Celebration.  I have loved playing with it so much recently!  I have now made three cards with it and can't wait to make another.  Today I am sharing my shaker card using this stamp set because we are shakin' it up over at SSI!  I am also using the sketch from Mojo Monday, check it out:

This was going to be just perfect for a shaker card!  Here is my creation:

Here is a look at it shook up a bit with Dazzling Diamonds.  So fun, right?

And here is a close up of the perfect sentiment and cool layering trick.

I used a framelit from the Rose Garden thinlits, cutting the white one and then using the framelit to trace and cut the Sweet Sugarplum one with scissors.  Another trick is to trace it on the Magnetic Platform so the framelit stays put.  Check out the inside:

This card was super fun to make, thanks so much for stopping by!  For more shaker cards, head back to SSI!

Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit

Today at SSI we are working on our ABC....Anything But a Card that is.  So I decided to take the opportunity to show off the Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit:

I love the color combination with this kit.  Emerald Envy is such an awesome color and really looks great with the oranges and black especially with the gold accents.  You do need a hot glue gun to create the flower on the striped box.  But you do not need to fill the box before assembling it, which is good.  Also the little acetate box with the gold dots is perfect for three rolls of washi tape.  This is three of the four projects that you can make in the kit.

Thanks for looking.  Head over to SSI for more non-card projects.

June Inkspiration Challenge

We have a colorful fun challenge for you today.  I chose a fun fruitty picture to INKspire you to create whatever comes to mind.  Check it out:

I chose to let the colors and sorta the fruit inspire me.  Here is my card:

I love this stamp set but have yet to get it.  Fortunately I have a fabulous stampin' friend who let me borrow hers.  This was a quick and easy card pulls the bright fun colors from the image.  I added a bit of DSP at the bottom and finished it off with some Cucumber Crush thick twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Let's see what you create using this fun image!  Head over to SSI to upload your project!

Fairy Celebration Meets Blooms & Bliss

Don't you love it when you find the perfect Designer Series Paper to go with your stamp set?  That is what happened to me today.  And I paired these things with a great sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

I love the color palette from the Blooms & Bliss DSP and I knew it would be a perfect match for the Fairy Celebration stamp set.  And if we are taking fairies, we need some glitter, or in this case glimmer.  This card was so fun to make.  Here is a close up of how I water colored that fairy.  It might be hard to see in the picture but I also added some of the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter on the wings.  In person it truly sparkles!

This would be a perfect card for a little one who loves fairies.  Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!  I can't wait to do more with both this stamp set and the DSP.

Swirly Scribbles Thinlits

I love my Big Shot!  I can't imagine creating without it.  And we got lots of great new Big Shot accessories in the New Annual Catalog.  My favorite is the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.  You can do so much with these dies.  Here is a quick and easy card I made:

I took the fun Confetti Celebration stamp and made a fun balloon bouquet with the new In Colors.  I made a little scribble out of Dapper Denim to put under the Hooray!  So easy, so fun, right?

For more fabulous big shot accessories, head over to SSI.  Thanks for looking.

Birthday Blooms Stepped Up

Today we are showing you how to step up a card with some extra paper or accessories.  I am using one of my favorite returning sets called Birthday Blooms.  Here is the first card:

This is a basic two color card, Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White with some ribbon, gold Wink of Stella and a rhinestone (confession, I get a smudge on my card...every mistake is an opportunity for an embellishment!).  Let's see how to step it up:

Same basic card but this time I used markers to color the stamp and then blender pens to color it in and added a layer of Emerald Envy.

Both card are pretty and I would be delighted to get either in the mail.  Thanks for checking out my project today.  For more stepped up cards, head back to SSI.

Fiesta Like There's No Manana!

Today we are sharing our favorite new Designer Series Paper or DSP for short from the New Annual Catalog.  There are so many to choose from, I am a paper hoarder for sure.  I created a card using lots of DSP from the Festive Birthday Suite that also using the Mojo Monday sketch.  Here is the sketch:

Super fun right?  And a great way to show off lots of DSP.  Here is my card:

This is party paper, right?  The colors are so fun and bright and I love the sentiment.  You can see three different patterns of the paper on the front of the card.  Here is the inside:

I love that llama and I cut a small piece of DSP to embellish him to match the front of the card.  Thanks for looking at my project today.  Head over to SSI for more creations using the fabulous new DSP.

My Favorite Suite

Today over at SSI we are talking about our favorite things.  The topic is probably supposed to be afavorite thing, but of course I couldn't just pick one.  But I did narrow it down to a suite!

So my favorite Suite...well for now is the Playful Palette Suite and I have three projects to share with you!  First I will start with a quick and easy card that will be one of my make and takes at my New Catalog Launch this weekend.  Check it out:

The Painter's Palette stamp set has a lot of fun stamps and great sentiments.  I just used the brush strokes and splatters and added some washi tape with some fussy cutting and I have a cute easy card!

Up next is another project that will be at my New Catalog Launch Party, this time as a little favor.

I just LOVE the Curvy Keepsakes Thinlit and thought it was the perfect time to show off some of the new In Colors along with that fun Playful Palette Designers Series Paper Stack and the yummy new In Color ribbon!  I added a Lots of Labels Die cut with a sentiment from the Better Than Email stamp set.

Thanks for checking out my favorite...for now.  That will change as soon as I get my next box of goodies.  Head back over to SSI for more favorites from our designers!

A Rose Wonder-ful Wedding Card

With all the fabulous products in the New Annual Catalog, its easy to forget about some of the great returning stamp sets.  One that I am glad is still with us is the Rose Wonder Stamp Set.  This set has that beautiful rose along with lots of great sentiments.  Here is a card I made using the emboss resist technique:

I was really excited to use these three colors together.  I love Mint Macaron and Night of Navy and I knew that Flirty Flamingo would be such a fun addition!  The emboss resist technique really does give a Wow effect with not really that much effort.  And I love adding just a little bit of ribbon for some additional color.

Thanks so much for looking!  For more projects featuring our returning favorites, head over to SSI!

June Color Challenge

A very Happy Monday to you!  We have a great color challenge for you over at SSI.  Check it out:

I love this new green, Emerald Envy!  And I don't really use these other colors very often so I am have a chance to play with them  Here is my card:

I knew that Emerald Envy would be a great color for leaves so I decided to make some luscious greens to go with that pale pink using the Botanical Builder framelits and Botanical Blooms stamp set.  I paired that with the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set.  I created this card to thank a very special couple who are helping me and a good friend enjoy a very awesome girl's weekend!  Here is a peek at the inside:

These are such great colors together!  I can't wait to see what you guys can create now.  Head over to SSI to upload your project!
