Adventure Awaits

I decided to work with some of the fabulous new in colors for a quick card with the World of Good Suite.  I saw a great sketch over at Mojo Monday:

As much as I love the Whale of a Time Suite that I had been using, it was nice to play with some other toys.  Here is my card:

I started with a Cinnamon Cider card base and layered on some more Cinnamon Cider embossed with the Old World 3-D embossing folder.  I used some of the amazing World of Good Specialty DSP.  I love the brass foil on these paper.  I used a combo of the Stitched Shapes and Layering Squares for my sentiment, stamping in Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee.  I loved the quill and inkwell so I added them as well.  I finished off my card with some Gold Metallic Pearls.  Here is a peek at the inside:

I added some more DSP in the inside as well.

Thanks so much for checking out my card today!  What a great sketch!

Love You BIG!

I was chatting with my husband over my craft desk and I had an idea for a card by looking at supplies I hadn't cleaned up from before.  I saw a good challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday celebrating all occasions:

I was working with the Whale of a Time Suite.  Here is my card:

I saw the fish DSP next to the Rainbow Glimmer and the whole card came together.  I grabbed the Love You More Than Dies and cut out the Love You in the Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  I added that along with a whale I punched out of the DSP.  I used a Mango Medley card base.  Here is a peek inside:

I stamped my sentiment in Pacific Point and the coral in Calypso Coral, of course.  I added a strip of Mango Medley DSP with a scale pattern.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Birthday Fishes

I just can't get enough of the Whale of a Time Suite.  The paper is so fun!  I found a great sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches:

This sketch has a more contemporary feel than I usually go for, so I thought it would be good to stretch myself creatively.  Here is my card:

I started with a Granny Apple Green card base and then I layered on the fishy DSP.  I cut some Pacific Point triangles and embossed them with the Seabed embossing folder.  I stamped the sentiment with Pacific point and added some stamped fish in Calypso Coral onto some Whisper White punched with the Timeless Label punch.  I finished the card off with some sequins and some Pool Party ribbon.

Here is a peek inside:

I added some seaweed DSP and a turtle stamped in Just Jade.

I just love this whole suite so much.  Thanks for visiting!

Whale Done

I have another card to share with you that uses the Whale of a Time suite.  This time I used the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches:

I just love all the fun DSP from this suite.  I started off in one direction, but I ended up going somewhere different.  Here is my card:

I started with a Pool Party card base and I added the ocean floor DSP.  For my three elements, I started with the whale stamped in Gray Granite and punched with the Whale Builder punch.  Then, I stamped and embossed the fish is Calypso Coral onto some vellum.  And for the sentiment I stamped it in Calypso Coral and layered it over some Calypso Coral card stock.

This was such a fun card to make.  Thanks for visiting my page!

A Magical Birthday

I just love the Whale of a Time Suite!  I decided to mix it up with the lovely Magical Mermaid stamp set that retired last year.  And I saw a perfect sketch over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday with a Make a Splash optional theme.  Here is the sketch:

I was very inspired all those fabulous designers but wanted to try to do something different.  Here is my card:

I started with a Pool Party card base and embossed the front with the Seabed 3-D embossing folder.  I layered some of the Whale of a Time DSP on some Pretty Peacock card stock, corner rounded on the bottom.  I stamped the mermaid with Memento and colored her in with Stampin' Blends (Bermuda Bay Light and Dark, Ivory and Calypso Coral Dark), fussy cut her out and put her in the water with dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral and layered that on top of a strip of coral print DSP.  I finished the card off with some sequins in her hair and shells to anchor the sentiment.  I also coated the mermaid's scales with the Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.

I love when I can pair a great sketch with some old and new stampin' goodies!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!
