Eighth Day of Christmas

Here is another awesome technique, the starburst technique.  This is great to use up DSP scraps.  I created this card for a sketch challenge and made it into the top three.  Wahoo!

Seventh Day of Christmas

On the Seventh Day of Christmas my crafter gave to me a great tutorial.  I shared this card earlier but thought it was worth another mention.  I love this lattice edge and I can't believe how easy it was.  Combine that with great wintery colors and an awesome stamp set (and some embossing) and you will have a perfect card!

Sixth Day of Christmas

Today I am showcasing the nutcracker from the Santa Stache stamp set.  He is so fun to color in with the Blendabilities markers.  I added a little bit of sparkle with the silver mustache.  I think the Filigree Frame added the right touch around the border.

Thanks for looking!

Fifth Day of Christmas

For the Fifth Day of Christmas, my SU! Demo gave to me; a gate fold card with a wreath!  I love making gate fold cards.  They are a fancy fold that is quick and easy.  This card came together quickly with the Trim the Tree DSP stack.

Third Day of Christmas

Here is a fancy card I made for the Third Day of Christmas.  I decided it didn't need a sentiment on the front.  I felt that the beautiful silver embossed snowflake said it all!  I love the Letterpress Winter stamp set, the snowflakes are so pretty!  And the All is Calm Specialty DSP was the perfect touch.

I used Seam Binding Pear Pizzazz ribbon, but I don't think that is available anymore, but you could use the Taffeta ribbon.

CCMC333

I was on a roll today with challenges.  My last one us from Create with Connie and Mary.  Here is the sketch we were given.

I knew exactly which stamp I wanted to play with from my pre-order.  Here is my take on it.

Unfortunately this stamp set won't show in my supplies list, it's called Guy Greetings and it is full of awesome pictures and sentiments like the one above.  I already have my dad's birthday card!

Friday Mash Up #189

It has been a busy day for me today as I got another card done for an online challenge.  This week, I love the challenge over at The Friday Mash Up.

We were given Smoky Slate and Silver and embossing (dry or heat) to mash up.  Sounds like my kind of challenge!  Here is my card.

I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use.  At the catalog kickoff party, we were given a stamp set called One Tag Fits All.  It is brand new, so it won't be in my supply list.

Can You Case It #49

So happy to have found this wonderful challenge blog, Can You Case It.  Although this challenge was difficult for me, it was for a clean and quick card.

I love layers and embellishments and lots of stuff on my projects.  So only two layers and one embellishment...yikes.  Can I do it?

Well thankfully I have great new stamps to play with.  I chose to use Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Baked Brown Sugar...I can't believe we only have a few more months with these colors.  And I picked up the fabulous Sweet Sadie washi tape when it was on sale on the Online Extravaganza.  Here is my supply list:

Freshly Made Sketches #166

I am trying to get back in the swing of things with all the great online challenges there are.  I love the simple sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  Here it is.

I have a fabulous box of new products just waiting for ink.  One of the many benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demo is getting the new products first.  Of course I kept with my favorite color combo; Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla and Gold (with a touch of Mossy Meadow).  Here is my take on the sketch.

The new stamp set is called Painted Petals and you can make such beautiful flowers with it.  There are also great sentiments as well.  Here is my supply list:

First Day of Christmas

Welcome to the day one of my 12 Days of Christmas.  Today I am featuring a fabulous sketch from Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration, a great stamp set, and one of my favorite color combos.  Here is the sketch.

Here is my take with Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White and Gold.  I love the stars from Bright and Beautiful and Many Merry Stars.  To me, they just beg to be embossed, so that is what I did!

Thanks for looking!

Catalog Premiere Party

One of the many reasons I am excited to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is getting a first look at the upcoming products.  Tonight some of my Stampin' sisters and I are heading to a Livecast Catalog Premiere Party.  We will get a first look at the 2015 Occasions Catalog as well as Sale-A-Bration, which takes place January 5th to March 31st.  I can't wait!

To prepare, I decorated the cover my new This and That notebook.  This is the Documented version.  I got it on sale from the Online Extravaganza.  I love the fun colors!  I can't wait to fill it with ideas and inspiration!

Any Stampin' Up! event is not complete without swaps.  Here is a card I made to swap with other fabulous demos.  I tried to keep it simple but that still resulted in embossing 68 times.  Some day I will learn.

I am so excited!  What do you think the next big thing will be?  What colors and patterns will be featured in the DSP?  Are we getting new punches and framelits, what shapes do we need?  What about ribbon and other fun embellishments?  I am hoping for some romantic valentine's DSP along with a pretty stamp set, maybe that goes with the Sweetheart punch.  I would also like more Blendabilities, or atleast more stamps we can color in with them.  For embellishments, maybe some lace trim and vintage style buttons.  And Sale-A-Bration...I can't wait to see what awesome items we can earn for free...I loved everything from last year!

Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration Design Team Search

I was so excited to see that one of my favorite blogs was looking for more design team members, I had to apply.  We were asked to submit some work.  So here are a few of my projects:

This is a flip card I made for a swap.  It was a lot of work, but I love the finished product.  The flip card have become one of my favorite Fancy Folds because the Thinlits make it so easy!  And I just love the Get Your Santa On stamp set.  It is so fun and playful and it gave me a chance to color with my Blendabilities!

Here is the first page of my son's album.  I was thrilled to see Stampin' Up! offer Project Life, here is the Little Moments set.  The colors are gender neutral and the journal prompts are perfect.

Finally here is an Angel Ornament I made with the Gift Bow Die along with the All is Calm DSP.  These Angel ornaments are so easy to make with all the fabulous Stampin' Up! punches.

Thanks for looking...I could have filled this entry with so much more.  It was hard to pick a few projects, but please poke around my page since I have shared lots of creations here!

Mojo Monday #374 and SSInkCC16

Finally getting back to my online challenges, I was happy to jump right in with Mojo Monday and SS Ink.  I would have posted this yesterday, but technology has not been my friend.  Here are both challenges:

And here is my take.  Love these colors together.  Such an unlikely color combo.  I think I might make a few more of these to send out for Christmas.

Thanks for looking!

Been Kinda Busy...

But I am back!  I have had lots to prepare for during the month of November so I had to take a break from blogging.  But I was still creating.  In fact one of the reasons I had to take a break was to get ready for the baptism of my son.  Here is what I made for the event:

I had shared the invite before, but I thought I thought I would include it since it set the stage for the whole theme of Pool Party, Whisper White and Silver.  I had made little favor boxes using the Curvy Box Thinlit Die (which I LOVE) and filled it with tea-light candles.  And I created a Thank You card using the Work of Art stamp set and Filigree Embossing Folder.  Thanks for looking!  Will be sharing more!

Keep It Simple Saturdays - Ornament

I am sure there is a fancy name for this ornament.  It is so easy to make!  All you need is five 3 x 3 squares of DSP.  Fold each one horizontally, vertically and diagonally in one direction.  You play with the folds until you get each square to fold into a smaller square.  Then use some sticky strip to put together.  So easy!

Fancy Fold Fridays - Pinwheel Card

First of all a huge thank you to Julie DiMatteo for her fabulous tutorial on this cute and easy fancy fold!  If you have a lot of DSP around (guilty), this is a great card to make use of it!

Here it is without the belly band:

And here it is opened up:

So easy, so cute.  This took about 15 minutes.  Here is a supply list:

Mojo Monday 370 and Color Throwdown 316

I wanted to make a card to thank very special customers but I needed a little spark of inspiration so I headed over to Mojo Monday and the Color Throwdown.  Here are those challenges:

And here is my card.  I used the Many Merry Stars Stamp set.  Both customers had gotten the Many Merry Stars kit so I wanted to show them the coordinating stamp set.
