Technique Tuesdays - Starburst Card

I love this technique...its a great way to show a lot of great Designer Series Paper.  Here I am using the All Is Calm DSP along with some silver foil and silver vellum and of course some glimmer paper.  I also embossed the sentiment from Mingle All the Way in silver and added some rhinestones for a perfect amount of sparkle and shine.  I am also particularly proud of this card because it won an online challenge.  I thought it was worth sharing again!

Must Have Mondays - Mustache Framelit

In my house...we tend to get a little silly.  Sometimes a lot silly.  My daughter loves to sport a fake mustache.  In fact we have celebrated many a Mustache Mondays...a little bit of fun is a perfect way to start the week!  Here is a layout I made from a perfectly stached shot of the two of us, using the Mustache Framelit to adorn the left side!

Here are two Christmas cards I made using this framelit and the Santa Stache set.

And here is a fun masculine birthday card.
I decided to emboss the mustaches to give them a fuzzy appearance.

If you have a Big Shot, this really is a must have framelit.  For $7.95, you can do so much with this framelit.  I am thinking ahead to my little boy's second birthday with a mustache theme...I can make all sorts of decorations.

Pals Paper Arts #221

I have a pretty decent stamp collection for someone who has only been stamping for 5 years.  I have some retired stamps that I will never get rid of.  And when I saw the sketch at Pals Paper Arts, I had one stamp in mind.  Here is the sketch.
Here is my take.  I actually used all sorts of retired goodies because the old stuff needs love too!  This stamp set is so perfect for me.  Hope you like the card.

Try Stampin' on Tuesday #186

This sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday is just begging for fun, fabulous Designer Series Paper.  And since the theme was leaves and trees, I went with my favorite fall color, Blackberry Bliss.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my take...I added an acorn, which is like a baby tree, right?  I had fun with this card and love using lots of different patterned paper!

Here are the supplies:

Create with Connie and Mary #322 and Freshly Made Sketches #155

Today I went for a two-fer.  Two challenges at the same time, the colors from Create with Connie and Mary and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

I decided to use some supplies; a Halloween stamp set from last year and fabulous Halloween DSP from two years ago.  I love how it turned out!

This really was a quick and easy card!  I plan on using this sketch for my open house.

Color Throwdown #311

I love the colors given for us over at the Color Throwdown.
I chose Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Pool Party and Smoky Slate.

I had this idea when I picked up this stamp set that hasn't seen much ink.
I like how it turned out and I hope you do too.

100th Post and Giveaway

Welcome to my 100th post!  Whether you have been following from the start or just came around, thanks for your interest in my creations.  I hope I have been able to inspire you in some way.  To celebrate this occasion I am offering some blog candy, in the form of handmade cards by yours truly (envelopes too, just not pictured).

If you want to win this bunch of handmade cards and envelopes, please leave a comment below and tell me your favorite candy...I have Halloween on the brain.  Mine is probably 3 Musketeers.  I will randomly pick a winner on Sunday night!

Fancy Fold Fridays - Tri-Shutter Card

The hardest thing about this card is deciding how to embellish it.  The actual cutting and scoring it quite easy.  I had fun using the Tee Hee Hee set to fill all the spaces.  The background paper I used was some retired Halloween DSP that I just love (Witches Brew).

And here it is opened up:

Tag It Thursdays - Thanksgiving Placecards

I am not hosting Thanksgiving this year, but will be helping my mom out as she hosts for the first time in her new home.  I have seen a lot of cute paper pumpkins made with different Big shot dies and the Gift Box Punch Board, but I wanted to try it with the tag punch.  I found some great instructions and then put my own spin on it.

This was so easy, it took about 10 minutes.  The hounds-tooth stamp is a retired one that I just couldn't give away, but you could do any pattern and embossing it would also be cool!  Here is all you need:
