A Sweet Thank You Card

I love the color challenge over at Just Add Ink and I had the perfect stamp set in mind.  Here are the colors first:

I have sneak peek at a new stamp set called Apple of My Eye.  Here is my card:

So the Garden Green pear is a little on the dark side, but how cute are these fruit?  I just fussy cut them and used dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand and used a Sahara Sand card base and the Sahara Sand Lace Trim.  I always need thank you notes, and I though this one would be great to have on hand.  Here it the inside:

I thought that was a cute sentiment and added some Garden Green leaves in the corners for a little more color.  Thanks for looking!

Something Fishy

I won a new stamp set at prize patrol at the Stampin' Up! event I went to in November and I have been waiting for the right time to get some ink on it.  When I saw the color scheme over at Color Throwdown, I thought it would be a great chance to use it.  Here is the challenge:

And as cute as those melted snowmen are, I went a total different direction.  Here is my card:

The Tangelo Twist fish is punched from the same punch as the poinsettia flower from the Holiday Catalog (spoiler alert, that punch is carrying over).  After stamping the Chocolate Chip Coral, I embossed the Marina Mist background with the Chevron embossing folder.  I used the sentiment from Lovely Amazing You which is one of my favorites.  It needed some ribbon, so I used the retired Tangelo Twist stitched satin ribbon.  I added some Perfect White Accents for some bubbles.  Thanks for checking out my card today!

A Project Life Card

Today is the last day of Stampin' Up's Holiday Extravaganza.  They have a great Project Life Bundle on sale using one of my favorite card packs.  I decided to use that card pack to make a card for the challenge over at The Friday Mashup.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

Can you find all the things on sale?  The diagonal striped card and the Hello are both from the This Is The Life Project Life Card Pack.  I just used a Watermelon Wonder card base and added a Rich Razzleberry stripe.  If you are wondering where that Bermuda Bay doily came from, I have a super cool trick for you.  The Metallic Doilies (on sale today) might be silver and gold on one side, but flip them over and sponge them any ol' color you want.  And tada, you can design your own doily!  I added a little bow tied with the Crushed Curry Baker's Twine (also on sale today).  Such a quick fun card!  I should always check out my Project Life cards for a swift kick in the inspiration!  Thanks for looking at my card today!

The Open Sea

I feel like I need more masculine cards so when Stampin' Up! has 15% off stamp sets, I had to pick up the Open Sea.  Check it out:

Lots of great collage possibilities.  Here is a card I made.  It was also one of my swaps for the On Stage Stampin' Up! event I attended.

I kept my color palette simple; Island Indigo, Tangelo Twist, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla.  I just layered my stamping a bit and added bit of ribbon under the ship.  The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from the And Many More set.

Thanks for looking.  For more Masculine Card and Project ideas, check back with SSI.

Black, White, and Gold

Today I decided to play with the Festive Flower Punch that I just got.  I wanted to make a white poinsettia flower.  I decided to do it with some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  I also designed my project to go with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge over at The Paper Players.  Here is the challenge:

I decided to go with White, Embossing and Punch, although I also have some Ribbon and of course some Sparkle or Shine.  Here is my project:

\
I used the Mini Treat Bags Thinlits to make a special envelope card.  These are on the weekly deals right now along with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch and the Gold 1/8" ribbon.  Here is a look at the card pulled out:

The sentiment comes from the Oh What Fun stamp set and it is heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I also added some washi tape to the inside part as well.  This was really fun to make and uses my favorite DSP from the Holiday Catalog, the Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP.  I added some gold foil sheet embossed with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder.  The "For You" is also cut from Gold Foil as well.

Thanks so much for looking at my project!  Now I think I need to try to make a red poinsettia.

I Need a Hero

Today I have a fun card for you I made for the challenge over at CAS(e) this Sketch.  Here is the sketch it was inspired by:

Here is my card:

I am using three things on the Holiday Extravaganza; the Calling All Heroes stamp set, Brights sequins and the Gold Glitz Dazzling Details.  I thought this would be a fun birthday card for a superhero loving boy or girl.  Thanks so much for looking at my creation today!

A Sneak Peek

Happy Thanksgiving to you!  I am thankful for so much; family, friends, food, laughter, booze...these things all go hand and hand.  And I am also thankful for being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator where I can to use the best coordinating products for all my creative endeavors.  Today I am showing off some brand spankin' new stuff that will be out in the next catalog.  I am also showing some of the items on sale.  And of course I combined all that with a sketch challenge from the Paper Craft Crew.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

Okay so do you see that fabulous DSP?  That is a new paper stack and you are going to love it for masculine cards.  The stamp set goes with the paper as well and it has great sentiments and images.  The things on sale include the Sweetheart Punch, Venetian Crochet Trim (I sponged it Lost Lagoon), The Classy Designer Buttons, and the Chalk Talk Framelits.  Thanks so much for checking out my project  I am thankful for my blog viewers for sure!

Thank You Swap

On November 14th I attended a Stampin' Up! event with soe fabulous stampin friends!  We had a great time.  And it isn't a Stampin' Up event without SWAPS!  I made a few different ones.  Today I thought I would share a Thank You card I made today.  I needed a break from the Christmas crafting I had been doing!  Here is it:

I love the Pretty Petals DSP stack.  The colors are so fun.  I made a fun honeycomb pattern with the Hexagon Punch, something that has been collecting dust on my punch shelf!  I used the Pretty Thankful stamp set (for the first time since I bought it MONTHS ago).  I finished it off with the Calypso Coral seam binding ribbon.

The trick to the lining up the Honeycomb pattern is using the side of the Very Vanilla card stock its on.  Once you line that up, it just falls into place.

Thanks so much for checking out my card today.  There are more Thank You creations over at SSI!

A Quick and Easy Get Well Card

This week I am trying to showcase as many of the fabulous products on sale for Stampin' Up's Holiday Extravaganza as I can.  So of course I am also trying to take part in some great online challenges.  I decided to combine the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches with the color challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  Here are both challenges:

Instead of a snowflake I used a butterfly.  Here is my card:

Can you recognize all the products on sale?  The Butterfly Framelits, the Metallic Sequins and the stamp set comes from a Paper Pumpkin kit on sale (Thanks A Latte).  The black striped vellum is also on the Weekly Deals too.  Thanks for checking out my project today!

Forest of Trees

Today over at SSI we are using out Christmas stamps in Non-Christmas ways.  I decided to use the Festival of Trees set and turn the trees into a forest.  Here is my card:

I used the train from Traveler and the sentiment comes from You've Got This.  I was trying to make a good luck card...maybe for someone who is moving or travelling.  I used Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow.  This was a quick card and I like how it all came together.  I have to remember these trees have a use outside of a Christmas Card.  For more ideas on how to take the Christmas out of your Christmas stamps, check out SSI!

Something to Say

I am trying to make a card each day this week utilizing items from the Holiday Extravaganza!  So this means I will also be entering a lot of challenges this week.  Today I have created for the Mojo Monday sketch.  Check it out:

I love all the fun layers!  This card came together pretty quickly and I was super excited about my color palette.  Here is my creation:

I picked Wisteria Wonder, Mint Macaron and Silver.  I stamped with the Basic Black archival ink and then watercolored the images from Remarkable You.  The Silver Vellum, In Color Blossom Accents and the Something to Say stamp set are all on the Holiday Extravaganza.  Thanks so much for looking at my project today!

Sparkly Seasons

There are so many wonderful stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog.  The Sparkly Seasons set was definitely on my MUST HAVE list.  I used this set to make one of my Christmas Cards this year.  Here it is:

The background paper is from the Season of Cheer DSP.  I thought the Night of Navy patterned paper would look good on the Mint Macaron card base.  I made a little snow globe using the nutcracker stamp.  I stamped in the new Basic Black Archival Ink.  I used the coordinating colors from the DSP to determine how I colored my image with Stampin' Write Markers.  I made globe from vellum and embossed it with some Iridescent Ice.  I finished the card off with some silver ribbon.

The inside sentiment and image come from the Embellished Ornaments set.

I even stamped on the envelope as well!

Thanks so much for checking out my card!  I really like how it turned out.  Be sure to check out the other creations with this stamp set over at SSI!

Good Wishes Your Way

Today I had a little time to run downstairs and create a quick card for two challenges today.  Can You Case It has a great sketch challenge and the theme challenge over at Just Add Ink is "Just Add Music."  I decided to combine both of these challenges.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

I decided to keep the stars from the sketch and add the little music notes from the Jingle All the Way stamp set.  The sentiment comes from Lovely Amazing You, which is 20% off this week for the Holiday Extravaganza (so are the Stars Framelits).  I decided to use Rose Red, Basic Black and Very Vanilla for my colors.  The black star is actually with Black Glimmer Paper.  I might have to stock up on that before it retires.  If you love Glimmer paper there is something coming in the new catalog that is awesome, hint hint!  The music note paper comes from the Home For Christmas DSP.  Thanks for looking at my card today!

November Mystery Challenge

I love the idea of starting with a few elements and seeing what I can come up with and then seeing what other people come up using the same elements.  Probably why I love our monthly Mystery Challenge too!  Here is November's:

Donna came up with some great stuff.  Like last month I am trying to use all five elements.  And as much as I love the last bow in the image, I might have to stick with a traditional bow.  Here is my card:

I love these fun unexpected Christmas colors.  I used the Festival of Trees bundle from the Annual Catalog.  I did add some splatters with Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz in the white circle behind the trees.  I just couldn't with the Real Red, I feared it might have looked like a Halloween card.  I love the Softly Falling embossing folder.  I stamped the sentiment on some Whisper White and cut it out with the Word Window punch.  I finished the card off with some Real Red striped ribbon wrapped around a few times and tied in a little bow.

Now its your turn.  Use ANY 3 elements from our challenge.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.  Upload it over at SSI!

Thanks and Giving

I love the images in the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set.  But I also love the sentiments as well.  Today I am using the "Let our lives be full of both Thanks and Giving" sentiment for a few challenges.  I have been missing out on the online challenges recently.  I am hoping to get back in the swing of things and entering a few each week.  This one card is being used for three different challenges; a theme challenge at Paper Craft Crew Challenge, a color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  Here they are:

Here is my card:

I decided to do some double time stamping with the leaves.  I love these colors together.  When I saw the strips on the sketch, I knew exactly what I wanted to use.  The Bohemian Suite has matching Delightful Dijon paper and washi tape.  I added one Island Indigo stamped and die cut leaf tied together with some linen thread.  I will probably send this card to family that I will not be seeing on Thanksgiving.

Thanks so much for checking out my project today.  I hope to be back more this week for a few more challenges.

Home For Christmas Suite

I just love all the papers in the Holiday Catalog.  The colors are bright and the images are fun and festive.  Today I have a card that features the Home For Christmas Suite.  Check it out:

I love that cute little house stamp.  I can just imagine the family snuggled around the fireplace enjoying hot chocolate!  I stamped it on some Very Vanilla in Mossy Meadow and then added some Dazzling Details (which is hard to see in the picture, but in person it adds the perfect touch of sparkle).  I love the houses so much, I used the DSP as a background.  I added the Real Red Cotton ribbon and the Have a Cozy Christmas sentiment is surrounded by the Mossy Meadow enamel dots.  Here is how I stamped the inside:

I like the unexpected combo of Real Red and Pool Party.  I had to stamp those bells at the top for a subtle tone on tone touch.  Here is how I stamped the envelope:

Clearly I needed to use that perfect image of Santa and his sleigh.  This entire suite is perfect!  I love it so much.  Thanks for looking!

Over at SSI we are featuring creations made with the Enamel Dots and White Perfect Accents.  Be sure to check back there for more ideas on these fun accessories!

Wreath of Leaves

I fell in love with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  I have made a few cards with it for different challenges here and there.  But I knew I had to have the matching framelits, and since they were bundled with another leaf set in the catalog, I decided to get that as well.  I tried my hand at the wreath that is show in the Annual Catalog.  Here it is:

I like how it turned out and I sold two at a Fall Fest that I was vending at, so I am pretty excited about that!  Thanks so much for looking.  Be sure to check out the other projects featuring leaves over at SSI today!

November Inkspiration Challenge

It is the third Monday of the month so we have a new challenge for you over at SSI.  Take a look at this great fall inspired image:

With all the excitement of the holidays coming and the school projects plus a super fun Stampin' Up! event that I got to attend, I didn't have too much time to create for this challenge.  I did throw together a quick and easy card with a new set I got when all the stamps were 15% off.  Check it out:

I just took a Crumb Cake notecard and stamped that beautiful tree in some regal fall colors inspired by that photo.  There aren't too many leaves left on our trees now, but all the colors this year were so pretty.  Thanks for checking out my card.  Let's see what you can make now!  Upload your creation over at SSI!

I received some great supplies from Laura.  She sent me these goodies:

As soon as I opened the envelope I knew just what I wanted to do.  And she sent me almost every to do it.    I just love the all the fun gold accessories we have!  Here is my creation:

I love these stars.  They are so very easy to make!  I used the both whole sheets of 6 x 6 vellum sheets so the star is pretty big!  And is look extra fancy with the vellum and gold.  The Gold Foil Doily looks pretty but also helps glue each star together.  The sentiment comes from the Sparkly Seasons stamp set, and I thought it was perfect with all the sparkle and shine of the ornament.  Of course it was heat embossed in gold because I love me some shimmer, sparkle and shine!

Next up we have Tonya over at Stampin' with Tonya.  I can't wait to see what she made!

Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set

I love all the fabulous bundles in the Holiday Catalog.  Getting great coordinating products at a discount is just awesome.  Today at SSI we are spotlighting the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set.  I have the bundle.  I decided to make one of my Christmas Cards using it.  Here it is:

I started off with some Real Red and added Whisper White with the snowflake vellum from the Holiday Fancy Foil Designer Vellum over top.  Side note: use the Fast Fuse to adhere vellum for the closest thing to a no show adhesive.  I used me favorite set of framelits, the Deco Labels, in Whisper White and Smoky Slate.  The Smoky Slate one is embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  On the Whisper White one, I stamped the snowflake from Holly Jolly Greetings in Smoky Slate and added the "On Earth" in Real Red.  I cut the "Peace" from some Red Foil Sheets.  I added some extra shine my twirling some of the Silver Cording trim under the Deco Labels.  Here is the inside:

I stamped the snowflake in Smoky Slate, stamped off first so it was nice and light and then stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Pines in Real Red ink.  Here is how I stamped the emvelope:

For all of my Christmas Cards this year, I stamped the inside and envelope also to match for a cohesive look.  I love the Smoky Slate stars from the Holly Jolly Greeting set.

Thanks so much for looking at my card today!  Did you get a chance to look at all the creations with this fabulous stamp set over at SSI?

November Card Sketch

We have a great card sketch for you for this month over at SSI.  Check it out:

This card came together very quickly which always happens when you start with a fabulous sketch.  Here is my card:

I really wanted to use the trees from the Holiday Fancy Foil Designer Vellum.  So I decided to use that along with the 1/8" striped ribbon to determine my color scheme of Real Red, Garden Green and Whisper White with some gold accents.  The tree and sentiment are from the Lots of Joy stamp set from the Annual Catalog.  I added the reindeer clip and the bow with the Gold Cording Trim for some extra shine.  This was a fun card to make.

Now its YOUR turn!  Make your own card from this awesome sketch and upload it over at SSI!

Words of Truth

Happy Friday!  I am looking forward to this weekend.  I have some plans to create and some plans with my husband.  I have a quick and easy card for you today featuring two new stamp sets I got when Stampin' Up! had their stamp sale.  Here is my card:

Along with Words of Truth and Dotty Angles I also used Gorgeous Grunge for this card.  I used Cucumber Crush, Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black.  I finished it off with the Rich Razzleberry cotton ribbon.  This would be a perfect card to tuck in a lunch box or suitcase.  Thanks for checking it out.  Make sure you check out all the projects back at SSI where Anything Goes today!
