It Must Be "Mint" To Be...

I just love the new in color Mint Macaron.  I love it paired with the Tip Top Taupe as well.  Initially I was excited to see how that minty sage green would pair with Blackberry Bliss, I loved it.   But more recently I have decided to pair it with a lighter shade of purple.  I think I was inspired by one of the other fabulous designers here.  

So here is Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Perfect Plum working together in perfect harmony.  

The stamp set I used here is called Awesomely Artistic.  I am looking forward to playing around more with this set, this was my first go around.  I just love all the images and I think the colors work really well together!  The bit of lace trim is actually the Venetian Crochet Trim dyed with some Tip Top Taupe.  

Did you get to see all the other projects with colors schemes using the new in colors over at SSI.  These colors have definitely made themselves at home in the Stampin' Up! color familes!  

Father's Day

I hope you remembered Father's Day this weekend?  If not, the designers over at SSI have some "inkspiration" for you.  I have a quick and easy card I made for my father in law using the Guy Greetings stamp set.   

I actually started off with a different color palette.  But I ended up back here with my favorite masculine colors, Night of Navy, Mint Macaron and Top Top Taupe.  I used the streak from Work of Art for the ground and finished it off with some twine.

June Layout Sketch

We have a super cute sketch for you today over at SSI.  Check it out:

I decided to use an older picture back when we were just a family of three, although I was about 7 weeks pregnant at the time.  Here is my layout:

I decided to make this pretty a quick and easy layout.  My base paper is a sheet of Tip Top Taupe.  I used the new Color Me Irresistible DSP and sponged it Rose Red.  I matted it on some Pear Pizzazz.  I used my envelope punch board to create the file folder look with the Rose Red card stock.  

The banner is from the Celebrate Today bundle, the stamp and framelit set.    

The sentiment is from the Best Thoughts hostess set.

With a Cherry On Top

Happy Friday!  Today is the last day of school for my little gal!  I think we might have to celebrate with some ice cream or something.  And I have a cute card for her for doing such a great job in 1st grade.  I am part shocked she is a second grader now and part surprised she isn't in high school already!  Here is my card:

This is an easy way for me to show you all the fabulous patterns in the Cherry on Top DSP stack.  The colors are super fun and festive and a great mix of bold and subtle patterns.  The sentiment is from the I Think You're Great stamp set.  Thanks so much for looking!  Did you see all the other creations using this suite of products over at SSI!  

Masculine Blog Hop

 It's raining men...or atleast projects designed for men here at SSI.  Our monthly blog hop is dedicated to the men in our lives and with Father's Day approaching, this is just perfect.  I have a couple of projects to share with you today!

First up is a Father's Day card using the Traveler Stamp set along with the World Map background stamp.

I used Night of Navy, Mint Macaron and Basic Gray.  The Happy Father's Day sentiment is from the Guy Greetings stamp set.  I love the look of the circle with part of it cut off.  I finished it off with some baker's twine.

Next up we have a Congrats card perfect for the hipster guy in your life.

Here is used the Guy Greetings stamp set.  This card is very different from my style, I usually have a hard time with white space (or in this case Very Vanilla space), but I liked it and knew I was done.  The colors are Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Sahara Sand, and Very Vanilla.  The Sahara Sand bottom piece is embossed with the new Brick Wall embossing folder. The hats are all punched out with the 3/4" circle and layered on the 7/8" scallop circle.  

Finally we can't forget the little men in our lives.  This next card uses one of my favorite stamp sets from the new catalog; No Bones About It.

First, the colors are Tangelo Twist, Sahara Sand and Island Indigo, with a bit of Mossy Meadow and Chocolate Chip.  The ground is made from the streak in the Work of Art set.  I just love this set so much and I can't wait to play with it some more!  This would be a cute card for a little boy finishing Preschool or Kindergarten.

Sprinkles of Life

I loved last year's Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set.  I thought the flamingo was so fun and I loved all the images that had matching punches.  I thought they could not top that set.  And they did!  Sprinkles of Life has like a bajillion used plus it's own coordinating punch.  I just love it!  Here are a few cards I made with this set:

Here I made a tree, although I only punched out the leaves.  The background is from the Cherry on Top DSP stack.  I thought the lace doily would be a cute feminine touch.  I just love these bright in colors, especially Cucumber Crush!  

Here is a card I did at my open house.  The colors are Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder and Smoky Slate.  I also added a little bit of the silver glimmer paper under the one cloud for the silver lining.  The white satin ribbon tied it all together!

Punch Boards

I love a quick and easy project that looks a lot more complicated.  Enter the punch boards.  Stampin' Up! has three of them and I have a project showcasing each of them to share with you today!

First let's take a close look at my project using the Envelope Punch Board.  I made a box to hold 6 cards from the Cottage Garden Card kit.  

Here is a peek at those cards. 

This kit is fabulous and only costs $16 for 15 cards!  To make the box, I simply took a 12 x 12 piece of card stock, punched and scored at 5" and 7" (I lined up my punch board to my grid paper to see where 7" is).  You do this on all four sides and fold up and the box will start to take shape.  You can use the corner rounder on all the corners as well.  I cut the flaps and adhered it together.  This was so easy!  I used the flowers from the kit as inspiration for the flowers on the box.  

Next up is the Gift Bag Punch Board.  I decided to try using the Typeset DSP to make a bag.  

I really like how this turned out.  The Basic Black and Very Vanilla pair nicely with the Mint Macaron.  This could be a cute favor for a bridal shower or a thank you for the school librarian.  

And finally I have the Gift Box Punch Board.  I used the Bohemian DSP because I just love the rich colors.  

These boxes are SO easy to make.  I tied it up with some Delightful Dijon lace and finished it off with a cute and quick tag.
