A Paper Rose

With Valentine's Day fast approaching I wanted to find a little special way to tell my children's teachers how special they are.  Both my kids are blessed with wonderful teachers, and I try not to let a holiday get past without telling them.  I did a little digging on the internet and found this very cool little origami rose box and knew it would be a perfect home for these Strawberry Truffles I bought:

It would be silly for me to explain how I did this, instead I will share the wonderful tutorial I used to create it.  I will share my list of Stampin' Up! supplies as well as some tips.  I tried using card stock and DSP but I found that the best Stampin' Up! paper was the envelope paper.  It folds easiest and was a color match (I used the Flirty Flamingo).  I used a 5" by 5" pieceof paper.  After following the indepth instructions I sponged the edges of the rose and then added a bit of the clear Wink of Stella glitter.  I added some Emerald Envy ribbon as leaves and glued it on with a hot glue gun.  The Love You sentiment comes from Scenic Saying stamp set from the Annual Catalog.

K-Cup Holders

Can you believe that it is Friday already?  This weekend we have so many fun Halloween activities; Trunk or Treat at my son's preschool, Halloween parade with my daughter' brownie troops and at some time I need to carve some pumpkins with my family.  I like to give some Halloween treats to my friends and co-workers and I have some to share that go perfectly with the theme over at SSI, 3-D projects!

This is a perfect little gifts for the gals I teach with. Coffee is always a good thing and the fun pumpkin paper from the Halloween Nights DSP paired perfectly with the Pumpkin Spice coffee!  I added a little Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper leaf for a sparkly fall touch.  The sentiment is from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set.

Thanks so much for checking out my project today.  Head back over to SSI for more 3-D projects!

A Cute Little Paper Box

So today at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration we are showing off some 3-D projects.  I love creating cool projects with paper, the kind that make people say, I can't believe you did that with paper!  Well I was on the hunt for something new on Pinterest and I found something pretty cool and perfect.  First I am going to give the credit to Dawn Griffith for her amazing blog and tutorial featuring her Small Origami Box.  Here is my take on her project:

Ok, so can you tell I love the Cookie Cutter Punch and coordinating stamp sets.  I mean, seriously, how stinkin' cute are they right?  Here are some individual shots:

What a cute reindeer...Early Esspresso ink stamped on Crumb Cake card stock.  The DSP is the Warmth and Cheer stack.

For this cute gingerbread man, I stamped off first in Early Esspresso.  The paper is the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper.

I put this box next to an ink pad for size comparison, this is small and cute!  I had fun coloring Santa in and you can't see it in the picture but there is some clear Wink of Stella glitter on the white parts of his suit.

I took a break from the cookie cutter sets for this cute bell box.  The paper is the Pinecones and Presents DSP paired with the Seasonal Bells bundle.

I made some Halloween ones too, here is a little studly vampire.

And a sweet lady skeleton.

Thanks so much for checking out my 3-D projects.  For more ideas, head over to SSI!

February Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the our monthly Blog Hop here at SSI!  In the middle of February, what better subject for our hop than LOVE?  I am excited to share my project, it is a frankenstein of sorts combining the January Paper Pumpkin Kit with the Build a Banner Kit in the Annual Catalog.  As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 6 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Donna at Geek Squad Crafting.. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

So here is a peek at the two elements that I started with first before I get to the big reveal:

Part of the Paper Pumpkin Kit was to make a banner, but I wanted to make a bigger banner so I paired it with the Build a Banner Kit and used some other lovey dovey products to finish it off.  Here is my banner:

I feel like I need some close ups to show it off more:

So aside from those two kits, I also used the Hearts Mask, the sweetheart punch, and in addition to the Watermelon Wonder sequin trim from the Paper Pumpkin Kit, I added the Blushing Bride and Silver Sequin Trim.  I was so happy to combine these two kits and make a sweet and unique Valentine's Day home decor piece.

Thanks for looking!  Up next is Diana at Stampin' Fun with Diana.

    Mini-Card Basket

On Tuesday I showed off some cute Valentine's Day mini cards.  Today I have a little basket to put them in!  Check it out:

I used the Berry Basket Die with some Blushing Bride card stock.  And then I decorated it with all things pink and sparkly including the Blushing Bride Sequin Trim and the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.  I also added some Sweethearts punched from the Love Blossoms DSP stack.  I also used the pearl string and the clip from the Love Blossoms Accessory pack.  Here are a few more pictures:

Thanks for looking!  I really enjoyed making this.  I just love being able to create something so unique with paper and embellishments!  Check out more 3-D projects from the gals over at SSI!

    Wreath of Leaves

I fell in love with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  I have made a few cards with it for different challenges here and there.  But I knew I had to have the matching framelits, and since they were bundled with another leaf set in the catalog, I decided to get that as well.  I tried my hand at the wreath that is show in the Annual Catalog.  Here it is:

I like how it turned out and I sold two at a Fall Fest that I was vending at, so I am pretty excited about that!  Thanks so much for looking.  Be sure to check out the other projects featuring leaves over at SSI today!

    November SSI Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the November SSI Blog Hop!  Today we have a super fun hop for you!  We sent each other supplies to make a project.  We had no idea what we were getting, we just knew we had to create something with it!  As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 5 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Carrie at Carrie Stamps. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I received some great supplies from Laura.  She sent me these goodies:

As soon as I opened the envelope I knew just what I wanted to do.  And she sent me almost every to do it.    I just love the all the fun gold accessories we have!  Here is my creation:

I love these stars.  They are so very easy to make!  I used the both whole sheets of 6 x 6 vellum sheets so the star is pretty big!  And is look extra fancy with the vellum and gold.  The Gold Foil Doily looks pretty but also helps glue each star together.  The sentiment comes from the Sparkly Seasons stamp set, and I thought it was perfect with all the sparkle and shine of the ornament.  Of course it was heat embossed in gold because I love me some shimmer, sparkle and shine!

Next up we have Tonya over at Stampin' with Tonya.  I can't wait to see what she made!

    Welcoming Fall September Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the SSI September Blog Hop where we are welcoming fall with open arms!  I love fall; the scents, the colors, the holidays, the cooler temperature, and the pumpkin and apple treats!  I have two fall projects for you to check out today.  As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 3 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - (Leanne at Literally My Joy). If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

First up I have some cute candy holders that I will have available at my first ever Vendor Fair.  I am starting small with the Fest O Fall in my township.  I am super excited to meet people and share what I love to do!

I just love the Curvy Keepsakes Die!  I made some apples and pumpkins and filled them with caramels.  I thought the Hello Fall sentiment and a little bit of gold was the perfect touch.  Oh, and wondering about the little leaf?  I used the Bow Builder Punch!  These treat holders were so easy to make and I can't wait to share them with everyone!

Next up is a festive fall card using both new and old supplies.

Don't you love that leaf paper?  Wonder where I got it?  I made it!  That is right, I made my own DSP with those leaves from A Little Something.  Also something to note, is that the Into the Woods DSP (that beautiful cluster of fall flowers) has Whisper White in it.  I had started my card with Very Vanilla.  So I sponged the DSP with Soft Suede to make it look like it was Very Vanilla so it would all work together.

    Gift Bow Die

I love my Big Shot!  This is not big news.  I also love the Bigz Dies...and I guess that might qualify as Bigz news?  Today at SSI we are spotlighting the Bigz Dies found in the Annual Catalog.  I have three projects for the upcoming season using the Gift Bow Die to share with you today.  First up is using the die as it was meant to be used, to make a gift bow.  Here I dressed up a cute bag of Halloween candy with the Happy Haunting DSP in the new catalog.

This was super easy and a great way to use up that DSP that we are hoard.  Here is a supply list:

Up next I made some home decor, perfect to adorn the Thanksgiving table.

This took a little bit of time and was inspired by this fabulous tutorial.  I did change things up a little bit.  Here is a supply list:

And my absolute favorite project with the Gift Bow Die is the Angle Christmas Ornament.  These are so easy and so pretty.  Here is one I made super quickly.

I used the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.  Instead of Whisper White and Very Vanilla, they have Gold and Silver in the pack.  If I had know that I would have bought that pack of paper right away!  These paper stacks are so wonderful, with four great patterns to choose from.  I picked the gold paper for my angel and added other gold accessories.  Here are all my supplies:

    Back to School Already?!

Can you believe it is already that time again?  We already got our kids book bags and done some of the back to school shopping.  My daughter will be going into second grade and my son will be starting preschool, going just one day a week.  I am not sure what I will do with myself!  I did want to do some paper crafting to prepare for this busy time of the year.  I decided to make a quick, little hello gift for my daughter's teacher.  Check it out:

I thought it might be nice to put a little something sweet in here for that first day of school.  Thinking back to my first days when I was a teacher, it was such a busy time of the year and a little treat would have been awesome.  Just a quick run through the big shot, stamp, punch and tie and this little treat holder is ready for giving!

I also decided to make a few notes to sneak in my daughter's lunch box.  I used the super cute stamp set You're Sublime and tried my hand at water coloring.

    Here are some close ups:

Thanks for looking!  Do you do any special projects to get ready for the first few days of school?  Be sure to check out the other projects over at SSI!

    Sparkle and Shine

I just love to create projects that are extra special.  And what could be more special than sparkle and shine?  From glimmer paper, to sequins, to foil sheets; Stampin' Up! has you covered for all things glitzy and glamorous!  Here is a special project I made for my upline since she is awesome and let me be her shadow at Convention!

Love this paper, right?  The Typeset DSP is so fun and it was exactly what I had in mind.  Here is a close up of the tote bag which was filled with chocolate!

And here is a close up of the card:

This was very simple, because you don't need too much when you have gold foil and vellum.  But of course I did have to make it a little complicated by making it a flip card.  I just love flip card though!  They are so easy!  And how awesome does that Gold Foil look embossed with the Boho Chic embossing folder?  Check out more sparkle and shine projects from the fabulous gals over at SSI!

Here is a supply list for these projects:

    Patriot Pride

July 4th is special for a lot of reasons to me.  I have always been partial to the holiday, I love the fireworks, the american pride, the BBQ's, etc.  In fact I love it so much, it is also my wedding anniversary.  My husband and I are coming up on 11 years.  That seems both so long ago and just like yesterday at the same time.  Anyways, I love creating for this holiday and today I have a very special home decor piece I created using a printer's tray I got on clearance!  Love when that happens, right?

My color palette is Real Red, Night of Navy, Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White and touches of silver.  For the first three panels, I used the masks and stamped the Layered Letters on a Deco Label die cut.

Here I made a little banner using the Banner Banter stamp and punch.  I added a little bit of the silver glimmer paper.

I made a little Uncle Sam punch art using the scallop circle, circle, word window and star punch.  This was so easy and could easily be added to a card.

This flag was made with the Work of Art stamp set and the star confetti punch.  Also super easy and could easily be used on a card.

I kept this one simple, a little of the Tip Top Taupe lace and the word America stamped with the letters from the Calling All Heroes stamp set.

For this panels, I just added some star die cuts to the real red background.

The sentiment is from the Project Life stamp set Remember This and I embossed it with Silver embossing powder on the Night of Navy card stock.

Here I embossed the Tip Top Taupe with the Lucky Stars embossing folders and added some Petite Petals stamped in Real Red and Night of Navy.

I really like how this panel turned out.  The firework image is actually from Summer Silhouettes.  I added some Red Dazzling Details and the Boom Boom comes from the Groovy Love set.

Here I just wrapped some of the Night of Navy seam binding ribbon and added a silver glimmer paper sweetheart punch.

Thanks for looking!  I really loved making this.  It was fun finding other used for stamps and punches.  Did you check out the other Patriotic Inspired projects from the team over at SSI!
