A Copper Congrats

Copper is so on trend right now.  And Stampin' Up! has it in embossing powder, specialty designer series paper, foil sheets and even thread.  I decided to use most of these beautiful products to make a lovely wedding card.  Check it out:

This turned out better than I had hoped.  Dont' you love it when that happens?  Of course when you start with such lovely specialty designer series paper, I mean there is no where to go but up, right?  The Night of Navy with Copper Foil accents is so pretty.  I took a scrap of Very Vanilla and heat embossed the Congrats sentiment and mounted it on a scallop square die cut of Copper Foil sheets.  The pearls took this card to the next level for sure!  Here is the inside:

I had a little sliver of the DSP left over when I cut, so I decided to put in inside.  I thought about doing some more heat embossing and then I realized that the card was perfect.  Stick a fork in it, done!

A Rose Wonder-ful Wedding Card

With all the fabulous products in the New Annual Catalog, its easy to forget about some of the great returning stamp sets.  One that I am glad is still with us is the Rose Wonder Stamp Set.  This set has that beautiful rose along with lots of great sentiments.  Here is a card I made using the emboss resist technique:

I was really excited to use these three colors together.  I love Mint Macaron and Night of Navy and I knew that Flirty Flamingo would be such a fun addition!  The emboss resist technique really does give a Wow effect with not really that much effort.  And I love adding just a little bit of ribbon for some additional color.

Thanks so much for looking!  For more projects featuring our returning favorites, head over to SSI!

Rose Wonder Wedding Card

I had a friend over to stamp with me today and she brought the Rose Wonder stamp and framelit set and let me play with it!  The best friends share their stamps!  I had so much fun with this set.  I made a wedding card using this set along with the Timeless Textures.  I thought it would be good for the Love challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper Challenges.  Here is the challenge:

Here is my card:

I cut the large rose and leaves in Whisper White and then sponged it with Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo.  I used my fine tip glue pen to glue it down on more Whisper White and then colored inside with some Stampin' Write markers.  I added some background stamping in Sahara Sand.  This stamp set has so many wonderful sentiments in it.  I can't wait to play with it some more!  Thanks for looking!

A Goldilicious Wedding Card

I made a wedding card using the Something Lacy background stamp awhile ago that I really liked.  In fact I liked it so much I CASE'd.  You can CASE yourself, right?  I decided to step it up a bit!

So the photo for this card do not do it justice.  I embossed the background and the Wedded Bliss sentiment with Gold embossing powder.  I layered the sentiment with some Gold Foil punched with the Decorative Label punch.  And I added both Gold Satin Ribbon and the Gold Sequin trim.  Thanks for looking.  How about those other wedding projects over at SSI?

Wedding Cards

The wedding suite in the occasions catalog is just fabulous!  I want it all, but decided on just a few things that I could get to go with some things that I already have.  Here is a pretty fancy looking wedding card that really took no time to make!

I love the Something Lacy background stamp along with the Sahara Sand Lace Trim.  Here are some close ups:

Hopefully you can see that the whole card is spritzed with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spray to give it a nice shine.  Thanks for looking!  Check out more great Wedding Cards over at SSI

Pals Paper Arts 224 and The Paper Players #218

I saw these two challenges at Pals Paper Arts and The Paper Players yesterday but didn't have the time to make something for them.  I knew I could pair them perfectly; a sketch challenge and one working with metallics.

I decided to go with the Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla, and Gold color combo.  Its very rich and makes for a perfect wedding card.  Here is my take:

The stamp is from a retired hostess set.  Otherwise here is my supply list below.  Side note: I have to use those Heart Embosslits with the foil sheets more often!

Must Have Mondays - Tag Talk

I love the stamp sets that have matching punches.  They make creating a cute card super easy.  In last year's Holiday catalog, Stampin' Up! released the Label Bracket punch with a coordinating stamp set and I loved it.  Fortunately they kept the punch and made an everyday occasions stamp set to match.  Here are four very different cards made with the the same stamp set, Tag Talk.

Here is the stamp set and matching punch:
